OX-AN® continues to push ahead with investing in online systems to improve our manufacturing, communications and client care. Our IT team continuously works on ways of making our systems easier to use by our clients, alongside the parallel expansion and development of our internal extranet systems which enable us to keep in closer and more personal contact with our UK wide clients. 2009 will see the development and launch of some exciting new gas safety and environmental monitoring products and solutions from OX-AN - watch this space for more details!

OX-AN® is currently working on behalf for Eisai Europe, alongside various other contractors, at Eisai's R&D Research Building in Hatfield, the £60 million expansion of which, will hopefully create 300 jobs in the area according to press sources. The firm's large Hatfield centre is home to their European clinical R&D, production and sales operations, as part of the Japanese drugmaker's move to consolidate its European operations. OX-AN, working through Honeywell of Berkshire, has manufactured and installed an Oxygen Depletion Safety Monitor System at Eisai's Hatfield R&D Building, with zoning options for the rooms and connections to the BMS and for the supply, our work involving eleven rooms with sensors and audible & visual annunciation.

OX-AN® Gas Detection wishes all our clients and other contacts a happy 2009, a year which has started very positively for us with the commissioning of our cutting-edge F Gas Monitoring system for SABIC LDPE, at their Wilton Works plant in Teesside. OX-AN's sales, manufacturing and technical departments worked closely alongside SABIC staff in order to match their specialist requirements for the F Gas Monitor.

OX-AN® Gas Detection Ltd has won an order from Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge for our widely-used and proven Oxygen Enrichment Monitoring System, for use in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Addenbrookes Hospital is part of Cambridge University Hospitals and OX-AN is delighted to be providing our technology and expertise in helping improve the safety of patients, staff and others at the Hospital, by means of our reputable gas safety monitors and systems. OX-AN has installed and continues to maintain our gas safety systems in hospitals throughout the UK, from Scotland through to the Midlands, down to the South Coast.

A Sensor That Just Keeps On Going!

Amazingly, a portable 0-100& Oxygen analyser that OX-AN built and supplied to a client in 1990 is still operating 18 years later in 2008, with the original sensor (from City Technology)! This longevity story is a first for City Technology and for OX-AN, as O2 sensors usually only last for a handful of years. Below is a photograph of the OX-AN system from 1990, complete with the oldest working sensor from City Technology that is still working down to this day!

OX-AN® has been chosen by the University of Reading in Berkshire, to design, install and maintain our Oxygen Depletion Monitoring System for the University, for use in the toxic gas environment of the University's Chemistry Department. OX-AN® Gas Detection Ltd is very pleased to welcome the University of Reading to the every-growing list of University clients OX-AN has throughout the UK, providing and maintaining gas safety systems for staff and students.

OX-AN Boosts Web Presence In Line With Positive Year

OX-AN Gas Detection Ltd, a specialist in gas detection systems, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, has experienced positive business growth throughout 2008 gaining key new clients UK wide. Our gas detection, analyser and monitoring systems are going from strength to strength and our tried and tested Oxygen Depletion Monitoring System has been particularly well sought after, along with our new R134a F Gas system designed to meet new Kyoto regulations regarding greenhouse gases.

In line with our business growth, we have strengthened our web presence by launching two microsites, each focusing on one system. With the introduction of the f-gas regulations to prevent and reduce emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol, OX-AN Gas Detection Ltd have launched the Environmental Leak Monitoring System. The f-gas environmental leak system provides audible and visual warnings of the presence of fluorinated greenhouse gases within a specified area in buildings around evaporators, chiller cabinet’s etc and outside plant including condensers and recovery systems.
