– Municipal and shopping mall car parks
– Car auction buying ring
– Bus stations

Carbon Monoxide Monitoring Systems

OX-AN® Monoxide Monitoring Systems are designed to warn the public or personnel of any danger from Carbon Monoxide that may build up in the workplace or public areas. The Health and Safety Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations state that short terms exposure limit of Carbon Monoxide should not exceed 200 ppm and long term exposure limit as low as 30 ppm.

How the system works

Remote Carbon Monoxide sensors are sited in the work area at low level and wired back to the instrument. Should any sensor detect Carbon Monoxide above 30 ppm the amber warning LED’s will illuminate and remain on until the levels drop. If the levels exceed 50 ppm, the red alarm LED’s will illuminate and the 90 db sounder will warn occupants of the levels.

SPCO relay outputs on the first warning level and main alarm level are available which can be interfaced to building management systems or control panels to active louvers and ventilation fans.

The product can measure up to twelve locations with remote 4-20 mA Carbon Monoxide sensors.

Key Features

– Digital control and set-up of all functions
– Recall of alarm events
– Monitors up to 16 locations
– Two stage alarm outputs with 3 amp volt free relays
– Clear indication of fault zone on large LED
– Sensor isolation
– Print on demand function documents time stamped events

How many sensing points do I need?

The number of sensing points required to adequately monitor a space depends upon a number of factors. Please contact us for free technical advice or a site visit.

Installation

As you would expect as respected oxygen depletion sensor suppliers, OX-AN® offer a full installation service. All that is required on site is the provision of a fused mains outlet adjacent to the proposed location of the monitor and remote panel.

Service and Maintenance

The service interval for the system is twelve months. The service schedule checks out the instruments functions and alarms, calibration gases are used to test and calibrate the sensors.

For intermediate due diligence testing we can supply test gases in disposable canisters with needle control valve, flow indicator and carrying case.
