Second Order For Prestigious Science & Technology Education Hub
Raymond Coupland Ltd win second order for oxygen depletion monitoring system for the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In 2010 we supplied our first system for the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Laboratories, commonly known as NMR spectroscopy, these are a non-destructive analytical tool and one of the principal techniques used to obtain physical, chemical, and electronic structural information about molecules. NMR works by exploiting the magnetic properties of certain nuclei. Image credit – Copyright http://www.iie.org/programs/kaustIIE see original image here
The laboratory has been extended with an annex, and making in total one of the World’s largest arrays with 10 state of the art NMR spectrometers from Bruker.
These include one of the World’s first Bruker 900MHz Wide-Bore magnets which is dedicated to material science research, as well as the World’s first Bruker 500MHz Super-Wide-Bore magnet for imaging applications. The NMR facility at KAUST is also equipped with isolated floor slabs for vibration reduction, as well as its own in-house liquid nitrogen delivery system.
The extensive use of Liquid Nitrogen and Helium in the laboratory presents a risk of asphyxiation to the scientist and personnel.
OX-AN Oxygen Depletion systems are used in many research and development laboratories at home and overseas and provide a reliable long term solution for monitoring oxygen and other toxic and flammable gases.
Some of our systems are still operating after 25 years with just one annual service visit.
